Dan Njuba Waiswa - Community Developement Officer
DAN NJUBA WAISWA

Born 1974 in Iganga Uganda, Dan became handicapped at about 5 years with an injection gone wrong. He had been injected in the main artery of his right leg and has had to use a caliper since.
He has a diploma in education and had began a bachelors degree in Social Science but dropped out because his father had retired and did not have enough money for his tuition. He had been working with other Non-Government Organizations when he learnt about Caring Hands and its tireless effort to help the disadvantaged through linking relief, rehabilitation and development.
Dan became Caring Hands’ Community Development Officer last January. Caring Hands is now sponsoring him for a degree in Community Leadership and Development.
For the time he has been with Caring Hands, Dan has learnt and appreciated the need to make people aware that they have all the potential to change their own lives. He is often saddened by the people’s overwhelming needs vis-à-vis the available resources.
Dan has however found great delight in seeing the lives of people supported by Caring Hands improving and is proud to be a part of the numerous success stories.
