Lorah Namakoye

My name is Namakoye lorah twenty two years old, have worked for Caringhands for 2years now.and l adhore my work so much.

l was born in eastern uganda in Africa,l have 7 sisters,1 brother.my mother passed away in 2007 of brain turma and breast cancer.my father is  a retired old man.

My life has been astruggle,my parents were very poor,since they didnt study much,they worked so hard to educate all of us(6 children).In the end they were able to support 3,who finished school ,they only supported me till Senior 3,the rest was up to me. l got some good samaritian,Kenyan lady whom l worked for as ababysitter(nuni) who paid my fees till Senior5,and she left for sudan,l lost hope completely but God was by my side,

here came my sister's boss who agreed to pay my fees for Senior 6 only.l completed my secondary school and my

sister paid tution for my first year at campus and stopped there because she had gotten married.

Caringhands gave me hope that l had lost.before l joined caringhands in my 2rd year at campus,l didnt have tution,so l worked in the ivory department so that l would earn salary to be able to pay my tution to be able to finish unversity.l ended up doing a diploma in project planing and mangement because the money couldnt pay off  for a degree.

After my second year,l was moved from the ivory department to the Administration part,social works,which l love most,l like helping people, visiting them especially the needy,widows orphans,HIV+.

I believe with the will of God,and with Caring hands we are going to help as many people as we can because they need us,and there so many out there going through alot

I plan on going back to school as soon as possible,to acquire more knowledge.my dream is to become a social worker and an accountant at the same time.
 but first l have to help my 2 young sisters to finish secondary level, here is a picture of me my 3 sisters and my nephew.
